Narrative:

While descending on seavu arrival between trtle and cataw; we were given runway 24R. We had runway 25R in the box. I reselected the runway page and selected runway 24R. I must have not selected the transition and the navigation leg we were on went away. I reselected the transition and we had flown by cataw by a mile or 2. I tried to tell the controller we were having a navigation problem (self induced) but the frequency was very congested. He gave us a vector to palac intersection and we landed. There was no reason for me to alter the FMS at that time. It was a poor choice on my part.
