Narrative:
Inbound air crew informed me of flap slat indication module on MEL for inoperative left slat #3. I removed and replaced indication module and signed the logbook discrepancy off in the deferred maintenance log. At this time I allowed myself to become momentarily distraction and failed to get authority/authorized for the MEL. Furthermore; I failed to reset the flap asymmetry circuit breaker.

Narrative: INBOUND AIR CREW INFORMED ME OF FLAP SLAT INDICATION MODULE ON MEL FOR INOP L SLAT #3. I REMOVED AND REPLACED INDICATION MODULE AND SIGNED THE LOGBOOK DISCREPANCY OFF IN THE DEFERRED MAINT LOG.
