Narrative:
We were holding at runway 33 at iws airport and just received our IFR clearance. After looking at final to be sure no one was on final; we announced on unicom frequency the taking of runway 33 and proceeded to take off. When +/-500 ft altitude and +/-1 mi from departure end of runway; we were passed on right side and close; by twin (king air?). Have no idea where he came from or where he went. Prior to and during takeoff; we never heard any announcement on unicom frequency from any 'traffic' at iws. Perhaps that airplane was on distant final or elsewhere when we took the runway. If so; we never saw him; nor did we hear him. Scary stuff!
