Narrative:

In structure support shop the supervisor sent all the overhead bins to be reworked. They are not following the procedures given in maintenance procedural manual as how to send parts to the shop to be worked on. It states remove from aircraft and get a repair order for the part and list discrepancies on a non-routine write-up form. They have told the guys up there to work them off of the maintenance computer program. As a side note: these parts are not in the in-house component list.
