Narrative:

Due to clt area ATC problems; we held inbound to clt in perfect VFR WX. Holding led me to declare 'minimum fuel' prior to approach. No one in the ATC communication chain passed on our fuel declaration; leading to extremely poor ATC control which; if continued; would have seriously degraded our fuel situation.

Title: A B737-300 DECLARED MINIMUM FUEL AFTER EXTENSIVE HOLDING IN VFR WX AT CLT. THE MINIMUM FUEL ALERT WAS NOT PROPERLY PASSED ALONG TO SUBSEQUENT CTLRS.

Narrative: DUE TO CLT AREA ATC PROBS; WE HELD INBOUND TO CLT IN PERFECT VFR WX. HOLDING LED ME TO DECLARE 'MINIMUM FUEL' PRIOR TO APCH. NO ONE IN THE ATC COM CHAIN PASSED ON OUR FUEL DECLARATION; LEADING TO EXTREMELY POOR ATC CTL WHICH; IF CONTINUED; WOULD HAVE SERIOUSLY DEGRADED OUR FUEL SITUATION.
