Narrative:

Flying at FL310 on the las cowby departure; ZLA advised our altitude readout on their equipment was reading between FL307 and FL308. I discovered we never reset our altimeters to 29.92 while we climbed through FL180. I reset my altimeter to 29.92. ZLA advised our mode C was reporting correctly before they gave us a frequency change.
