Narrative:

Upon arrival aircraft was met by fire and emergency vehicles. It was not until I deplaned and asked a fireman what was going on that I was told that our #1 engine was on fire as we taxied in. Why; as flight attendant; were we not told? Why were we not debriefed? Why did we not stop immediately and evacuate/evacuation? This is poor CRM and does not represent the safety professional image we were taught. The captain spent more time berating the purser as passenger deplaned than informing and assuring the passenger and flight attendants as to the situation.
