Narrative:

Aircraft came to a complete stop at gate. Made the announcement 'flight attendants prepare for arrival and xchk.' I went over to R2 and put girt bar up and took off the red tab across the window. Then at L1 I removed the red tab across the window and said over the PA; 'xchk complete.' then agent knocked on door and I opened it. As I did so I noticed slide girt bar not disengaged and stopped the door from being opened. Notified captain and flight attendants. I take responsibility for not disengaging slide. I felt light headed and felt that I should have eaten more.

Narrative: ACFT CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP AT GATE. MADE THE ANNOUNCEMENT 'FLT ATTENDANTS PREPARE FOR ARR AND XCHK.' I WENT OVER TO R2 AND PUT GIRT BAR UP AND TOOK OFF THE RED TAB ACROSS THE WINDOW. THEN AT L1 I REMOVED THE RED TAB ACROSS THE WINDOW AND SAID OVER THE PA; 'XCHK COMPLETE.' THEN AGENT KNOCKED ON DOOR AND I OPENED IT. AS I DID SO I NOTICED SLIDE GIRT BAR NOT DISENGAGED AND STOPPED THE DOOR FROM BEING OPENED. NOTIFIED CAPT AND FLT ATTENDANTS. I TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR NOT DISENGAGING SLIDE. I FELT LIGHT HEADED AND FELT THAT I SHOULD HAVE EATEN MORE.
