Narrative:

En route to pie; contacted pie radio for WX at field (tower closed) along with WX FSS person states '...some pilots advised a bright taxiway edge light at intersection of runway 17L and taxiway east...' I advised the captain/PF of this. Approximately 3-5 mi north of the field we called the airport in sight; were cleared for a visual and advised to contact pie radio. As we were joining final near the OM both pilots noticed a steady white light near midfield of runway 17L. As we grew closer it appeared to me to be a position light of an aircraft stopped on the runway. As I made an announcement on CTAF the on-field FSS person responded with a current wind. I queried whether the light we were seeing in the middle of the runway was the light he'd told us about. He responded that it was (related to him as) '...a taxiway edge light...' I said; 'well; it looks like there's an aircraft/vehicle stopped at about midfield of runway 17L...we're fixing to go around.' he responded; 'no reported traffic.' meanwhile; the captain continues to descend to the runway. At 500 ft I asked; 'you do see that on the runway; don't you?' he says; 'yes.' at 200 ft RA I say; 'you are going to go around; aren't you?' no response. At 100 ft RA I say again; 'you are going around; aren't you?' no response. We touch down; he lays on the brakes; we decelerate and as we near midfield the single white light comes to be the light of (maybe) 5 lights (others amber) that apparently mark the exit to a high speed taxiway east on runway 17L. I was very disturbed. When we parked he said; 'man; that looked just like an aircraft on the runway! Ha; ha; ha!' I said; 'I can't believe you didn't go around.' later; I realized; not only hadn't he gone around but; like I always thought I would; I didn't take the aircraft from him and go around myself!

Title: B757 FO REMONSTRATES OVER DECISION NOT TO TAKE OVER AND GO AROUND.

Narrative: ENRTE TO PIE; CONTACTED PIE RADIO FOR WX AT FIELD (TWR CLOSED) ALONG WITH WX FSS PERSON STATES '...SOME PLTS ADVISED A BRIGHT TXWY EDGE LIGHT AT INTXN OF RWY 17L AND TXWY E...' I ADVISED THE CAPT/PF OF THIS. APPROX 3-5 MI N OF THE FIELD WE CALLED THE ARPT IN SIGHT; WERE CLRED FOR A VISUAL AND ADVISED TO CONTACT PIE RADIO. AS WE WERE JOINING FINAL NEAR THE OM BOTH PLTS NOTICED A STEADY WHITE LIGHT NEAR MIDFIELD OF RWY 17L. AS WE GREW CLOSER IT APPEARED TO ME TO BE A POS LIGHT OF AN ACFT STOPPED ON THE RWY. AS I MADE AN ANNOUNCEMENT ON CTAF THE ON-FIELD FSS PERSON RESPONDED WITH A CURRENT WIND. I QUERIED WHETHER THE LIGHT WE WERE SEEING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RWY WAS THE LIGHT HE'D TOLD US ABOUT. HE RESPONDED THAT IT WAS (RELATED TO HIM AS) '...A TXWY EDGE LIGHT...' I SAID; 'WELL; IT LOOKS LIKE THERE'S AN ACFT/VEHICLE STOPPED AT ABOUT MIDFIELD OF RWY 17L...WE'RE FIXING TO GO AROUND.' HE RESPONDED; 'NO RPTED TFC.' MEANWHILE; THE CAPT CONTINUES TO DSND TO THE RWY. AT 500 FT I ASKED; 'YOU DO SEE THAT ON THE RWY; DON'T YOU?' HE SAYS; 'YES.' AT 200 FT RA I SAY; 'YOU ARE GOING TO GO AROUND; AREN'T YOU?' NO RESPONSE. AT 100 FT RA I SAY AGAIN; 'YOU ARE GOING AROUND; AREN'T YOU?' NO RESPONSE. WE TOUCH DOWN; HE LAYS ON THE BRAKES; WE DECELERATE AND AS WE NEAR MIDFIELD THE SINGLE WHITE LIGHT COMES TO BE THE LIGHT OF (MAYBE) 5 LIGHTS (OTHERS AMBER) THAT APPARENTLY MARK THE EXIT TO A HIGH SPD TXWY E ON RWY 17L. I WAS VERY DISTURBED. WHEN WE PARKED HE SAID; 'MAN; THAT LOOKED JUST LIKE AN ACFT ON THE RWY! HA; HA; HA!' I SAID; 'I CAN'T BELIEVE YOU DIDN'T GO AROUND.' LATER; I REALIZED; NOT ONLY HADN'T HE GONE AROUND BUT; LIKE I ALWAYS THOUGHT I WOULD; I DIDN'T TAKE THE ACFT FROM HIM AND GO AROUND MYSELF!
