Narrative:

After pushback; did after start flow. On recall; left IRS fault light illuminated. Got out checklist and called dispatch. After completing IRS fault checklist; fault light extinguished. Then we called for taxi. As we taxied we handled a heading issue and accidentally crossed the holding line for runway 5. Upon takeoff clearance; we taxied to displaced takeoff line then advanced thrust when the takeoff warning horn sounded. Captain aborted takeoff and we taxied to the end to clear the runway. As we taxied back to the gate; we noticed flaps were still set to 0 degrees. I learned the importance to redo any checklist whenever interruptions occur; especially when a fault light illuminates.

Title: B737-300 FLT CREW; DISTR BY A COMPASS PROB; CROSS HOLD SHORT LINE WITHOUT CLRNC AND THEN ABORT TKOF BECAUSE OF IMPROPER FLAP SETTING.

Narrative: AFTER PUSHBACK; DID AFTER START FLOW. ON RECALL; L IRS FAULT LIGHT ILLUMINATED. GOT OUT CHKLIST AND CALLED DISPATCH. AFTER COMPLETING IRS FAULT CHKLIST; FAULT LIGHT EXTINGUISHED. THEN WE CALLED FOR TAXI. AS WE TAXIED WE HANDLED A HDG ISSUE AND ACCIDENTALLY CROSSED THE HOLDING LINE FOR RWY 5. UPON TKOF CLRNC; WE TAXIED TO DISPLACED TKOF LINE THEN ADVANCED THRUST WHEN THE TKOF WARNING HORN SOUNDED. CAPT ABORTED TKOF AND WE TAXIED TO THE END TO CLR THE RWY. AS WE TAXIED BACK TO THE GATE; WE NOTICED FLAPS WERE STILL SET TO 0 DEGS. I LEARNED THE IMPORTANCE TO REDO ANY CHKLIST WHENEVER INTERRUPTIONS OCCUR; ESPECIALLY WHEN A FAULT LIGHT ILLUMINATES.
