Narrative:

Aircraft X on overnight. Crew wrote up #2 captain's window beyond limits. I measured within limits. Also talked to captain and he assured me it was not in his field of vision. I signed off write-up in maintenance log. This occurred the day before also. I contacted planning to get the aircraft to a maintenance station with facilities to replace windows and change window. The window was changed wkend of aug/xa/06. Maintenance manual needs to be more specific; give limits if exceeds must change not recommend change.
