Narrative:
From XA09Z-XB05Z I was working the radar associate position (D-16) on sector 16 in ZLC. During a period of heavy traffic; air carrier X was xferred to sector 8 ZLC without handing the data block off to sector 8. When this occurred; I was coordinating a pointout with sector 5 ZLC and initiating 2 handoffs to sector 15 ZLC. While the radar controller (R-16) was vectoring an aircraft departure off of jackson hole; wy; for traffic; I did not notice that air carrier X was not handed off to sector 8 ZLC until R-08 called on the landline and called radar contact on air carrier X.

Title: ZLC RADAR ASSOCIATE CTLR DESCRIBED SIT DURING HVY TFC WHEN REQUIRED HDOF WAS NOT MADE PRIOR TO XING ADJACENT AIRSPACE BOUNDARY.
Narrative: FROM XA09Z-XB05Z I WAS WORKING THE RADAR ASSOCIATE POS (D-16) ON SECTOR 16 IN ZLC. DURING A PERIOD OF HVY TFC; ACR X WAS XFERRED TO SECTOR 8 ZLC WITHOUT HANDING THE DATA BLOCK OFF TO SECTOR 8. WHEN THIS OCCURRED; I WAS COORDINATING A POINTOUT WITH SECTOR 5 ZLC AND INITIATING 2 HDOFS TO SECTOR 15 ZLC. WHILE THE RADAR CTLR (R-16) WAS VECTORING AN ACFT DEP OFF OF JACKSON HOLE; WY; FOR TFC; I DID NOT NOTICE THAT ACR X WAS NOT HANDED OFF TO SECTOR 8 ZLC UNTIL R-08 CALLED ON THE LANDLINE AND CALLED RADAR CONTACT ON ACR X.
