Pushback tug driver started the push after 'cleared to push; brakes set; tail north give way to the rj and gate Y is also pushing' command being given by the captain. The brakes were not released; and the tug driver did not call for the brakes to be released. The pin on the nose gear sheared and the towbar was also damaged.

Title: A TUG DRIVER FAILED TO WAIT FOR THE RELEASE BRAKES STATEMENT FROM THE CAPT AND STARTED TO PUSH THE B737-300; DAMAGING THE AIRCRAFT AND THE TOWBAR.

Narrative: PUSHBACK TUG DRIVER STARTED THE PUSH AFTER 'CLEARED TO PUSH; BRAKES SET; TAIL NORTH GIVE WAY TO THE RJ AND GATE Y IS ALSO PUSHING' COMMAND BEING GIVEN BY THE CAPTAIN. THE BRAKES WERE NOT RELEASED; AND THE TUG DRIVER DID NOT CALL FOR THE BRAKES TO BE RELEASED. THE PIN ON THE NOSE GEAR SHEARED AND THE TOWBAR WAS ALSO DAMAGED.
