Narrative:

We had been briefed by inbound crew of forward right fuel pump low pressure light and EICAS advisory during their descent. Aircraft had previous history of this problem. Fault corrected itself on the ground and was signed off by maintenance as 'could not duplicate.' they left the pump on for a long period of time before departure to try to duplicate the malfunction but it did not repeat. When we were cleared for takeoff shortly after takeoff thrust was set; the low pressure light and EICAS message appeared at approximately 60 KTS. We aborted the takeoff and taxied back to the gate and worked the problem with station maintenance and maintenance control. Both the boost pump and pressure sensor for the right forward fuel pump were removed and replaced.
