Narrative:

On postflt inspection; the first officer discovered that the aft galley drain mast was bent; dented and cracked. Damage appears to be the result of being hit by a ground support vehicle. Damage may have occurred airborne; however; as the first officer did not note the damage on preflight walkaround and the reason that he was doing a postflt inspection was that the flight attendants had reported a loud thump from below the center of the aft galley floor while in the descent phase of flight. This occurred at about FL200 and 330 KIAS while on a VMC arrival. The thump was reported to maintenance control. And the first officer was doing a postflt inspection while waiting for contract maintenance personnel to show up.
