Narrative:

I was assigned to perform a service check and other scheduled work. As trained I looked at the engine intakes; tires and brakes upon arrival. I did not see any discrepancies in these areas. After 3 flts; the #3 brake was written up and the aircraft took a delay. I was not notified of any maintenance follow-up items on that evening. I inquired later and was informed that several maintenance follow-up items had been issued on that brake in previous days.

Title: A B737-400 INCURRED A DELAY FOR #3 BRAKE CHANGE DUE TO BEING WORN OUT OF LIMITS. THIS AIRPLANE WAS 3 FLTS OUT OF A SVC CHK.

Narrative: I WAS ASSIGNED TO PERFORM A SVC CHK AND OTHER SCHEDULED WORK. AS TRAINED I LOOKED AT THE ENG INTAKES; TIRES AND BRAKES UPON ARR. I DID NOT SEE ANY DISCREPANCIES IN THESE AREAS. AFTER 3 FLTS; THE #3 BRAKE WAS WRITTEN UP AND THE ACFT TOOK A DELAY. I WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF ANY MAINT FOLLOW-UP ITEMS ON THAT EVENING. I INQUIRED LATER AND WAS INFORMED THAT SEVERAL MAINT FOLLOW-UP ITEMS HAD BEEN ISSUED ON THAT BRAKE IN PREVIOUS DAYS.
