Shortly after takeoff from bdl; crew observed ECAM 'yellow system low pressure' warning. Yellow system hydraulic pressure observed to fluctuate between 1500-3000 psi. System quantity fluctuated as well. Crew elected to divert to jfk. Ftw dispatch notified of divert. Emergency declared for anticipated overweight landing. Aircraft landed uneventfully at 313000 pounds. Ftw dispatch contacted at gate arrival.
