Narrative:

Our flight was pre departure clearance cleared via the kennedy 9 departure on the canarsie climb. The captain was PF; and the first officer was talking to ATC. The first fix after the SID was rbv VOR. During initial departure climb while intercepting the cri 176 degree radial on the canarsie climb; the controller advised that was the wrong radial; and he said we needed to get the problem rectified. The controller then issued us a right heading to 260 degrees to intercept the cri VOR 223 degree radial. I turned to 260 degrees. We were pretty close to the cri VOR when this almost 80 degree intercept angle to the cri 223 degree radial was given. As soon as we got the cri 223 degree radial tuned in; we saw we were just going through it; so I began a left turn to intercept the radial. As I began this turn the controller gave us a left to 200 degrees to intercept the cri 223 degree radial. I did that. The first officer then asked if we should try to get the pre departure clearance problem cleared up with ATC or our company; and the controller told us to fly the cri 223 degree radial and to contact the next departure controller. He also stated this matter would 'be investigated.' we acknowledged the frequency change and upon checking in; controller immediately cleared us to proceed direct to the rbv VOR; and we proceeded direct to the rbv VOR. The rest of the flight was uneventful.

Title: A320 FLT CREW GIVEN A KENNEDY DEP; CANARSIE CLB VIA PDC IS REPROACHED BY ATC ON DEP ADVISING THE BREEZY POINT CLB WAS INTENDED.

Narrative: OUR FLT WAS PDC CLRED VIA THE KENNEDY 9 DEP ON THE CANARSIE CLB. THE CAPT WAS PF; AND THE FO WAS TALKING TO ATC. THE FIRST FIX AFTER THE SID WAS RBV VOR. DURING INITIAL DEP CLB WHILE INTERCEPTING THE CRI 176 DEG RADIAL ON THE CANARSIE CLB; THE CTLR ADVISED THAT WAS THE WRONG RADIAL; AND HE SAID WE NEEDED TO GET THE PROB RECTIFIED. THE CTLR THEN ISSUED US A R HDG TO 260 DEGS TO INTERCEPT THE CRI VOR 223 DEG RADIAL. I TURNED TO 260 DEGS. WE WERE PRETTY CLOSE TO THE CRI VOR WHEN THIS ALMOST 80 DEG INTERCEPT ANGLE TO THE CRI 223 DEG RADIAL WAS GIVEN. AS SOON AS WE GOT THE CRI 223 DEG RADIAL TUNED IN; WE SAW WE WERE JUST GOING THROUGH IT; SO I BEGAN A L TURN TO INTERCEPT THE RADIAL. AS I BEGAN THIS TURN THE CTLR GAVE US A L TO 200 DEGS TO INTERCEPT THE CRI 223 DEG RADIAL. I DID THAT. THE FO THEN ASKED IF WE SHOULD TRY TO GET THE PDC PROB CLRED UP WITH ATC OR OUR COMPANY; AND THE CTLR TOLD US TO FLY THE CRI 223 DEG RADIAL AND TO CONTACT THE NEXT DEP CTLR. HE ALSO STATED THIS MATTER WOULD 'BE INVESTIGATED.' WE ACKNOWLEDGED THE FREQ CHANGE AND UPON CHKING IN; CTLR IMMEDIATELY CLRED US TO PROCEED DIRECT TO THE RBV VOR; AND WE PROCEEDED DIRECT TO THE RBV VOR. THE REST OF THE FLT WAS UNEVENTFUL.
