Narrative:
After announcing that we were taking off on runway 22; we applied takeoff power. As we began to rotate; an announcement came across the unicom that a medical helicopter was taking off and departing to the northwest. The helicopter came off the pad and crossed right in front of us. As we were in the air; I applied left rudder and aileron and did an immediate hard climbing left turn to avoid a fiery crash. The helicopter and we went on our way. No further radio conversation was heard. I'm feeling like these helicopters flying from uncontrolled airports need to adhere to non-controled airport procedures and fly landing and takeoff patterns.

Title: A C182 IS REQUIRED TO TAKE EVASIVE ACTION DURING TKOF FROM AN UNCTLED ARPT DUE TO CONFLICT WITH A DEPARTING HELI.
