Narrative:

Taxied out thunderstorm moving over airport. Got 2 runway changes and finally into position. I checked the brake temperatures and were approaching 295 degrees C on the left. Cleared for takeoff and left brake went to 300 degrees (airbus limit). I did not abort but kept gear down after takeoff to air cool as per pilot newsletter. Retracting the gear would have subjected the hydraulic system to hot brakes. In retrospect might have been 'more correct' to abandon takeoff and wait the 30 mins on the ground to cool. WX was a consideration as den was planning second ground stop of this trip.
