Narrative:

While parking at gate in bos the baggage door was opened before the beacon was secured. Recommend that ramp personnel be allowed to open the baggage door when the beacon is still on when the main cabin door is opened. Many stations have minimum manning and ramp personnel are working safely and quickly to get aircraft turned for the next flight.

Title: EMB-145 FLT CREW HAS THE BAGGAGE DOOR OPENED AT THE GATE PRIOR TO ENG SHUTDOWN.

Narrative: WHILE PARKING AT GATE IN BOS THE BAGGAGE DOOR WAS OPENED BEFORE THE BEACON WAS SECURED. RECOMMEND THAT RAMP PERSONNEL BE ALLOWED TO OPEN THE BAGGAGE DOOR WHEN THE BEACON IS STILL ON WHEN THE MAIN CABIN DOOR IS OPENED. MANY STATIONS HAVE MINIMUM MANNING AND RAMP PERSONNEL ARE WORKING SAFELY AND QUICKLY TO GET ACFT TURNED FOR THE NEXT FLT.
