Narrative:

We were planning on doing a part 135 trip but the pilot was unavailable. We used another non 135 pilot and did trip as a part 91 no charge trip. Maintenance personnel had put torque links on left main landing gear incorrectly together and during crosswind landing; gear dragged and collapsed; resulting in an incident. We were not operating within the operations specifications as they were only for single pilot operation. Money or compensation was never discussed.
