Narrative:

Given landing clearance to runway 9R by ord tower with another aircraft about 2 mi in trail. We were given hold short of taxiway south (which has 9300 ft of runway usable). A second aircraft was placed into position and hold on a crossing runway 32L and told to be prepared for an immediate takeoff. This left us in an unusual situation; with a lahso clearance; but implied to keep moving through an intersection to allow another aircraft to depart. We landed and rolled out without incident. Crossing traffic was departed. Trailing aircraft landed. This situation left little room for error or to land implied to keep moving through the intersection but hold short of taxiway south.

A SECOND ACFT WAS PLACED INTO POS AND HOLD ON A XING RWY 32L AND TOLD TO BE PREPARED FOR AN IMMEDIATE TKOF. THIS LEFT US IN AN UNUSUAL SIT; WITH A LAHSO CLRNC; BUT IMPLIED TO KEEP MOVING THROUGH AN INTXN TO ALLOW ANOTHER ACFT TO DEPART. WE LANDED AND ROLLED OUT WITHOUT INCIDENT. XING TFC WAS DEPARTED.
