Narrative:

We were flying from ZZZ1 to ZZZ2 at FL340. During cruise we got cabin altitude master caution. Cabin altitude was climbing. The captain and I both went on oxygen and requested clearance for a lower altitude due to a cabin pressure problem. ATC initially cleared us to FL270 then vectored us 20 degrees to the left and cleared us to FL180. We requested 10000 ft and the captain declared an emergency. After we were clear of traffic and were still descending to FL180; ATC cleared us to 10000 ft. The flight attendant was notified of the situation and a passenger announcement was made once we were at 10000 ft.
