Narrative:

At or near top of descent; #1 engine generator drive oil temperature light came on with temperature gauge showing full scale deflection in the high range. Irregular procedure was accomplished with #1 CSD disconnected and loss of generator #1. Aircraft was dispatched with APU inoperative so we were down to 1 generator (#2) going into ZZZ night IFR to ensure expeditious handling by ATC (procedure instructs landing at nearest suitable airport) we declared an emergency and flew an ILS approach to runway at ZZZ without further incident.
