Narrative:

Taxi out to runway 21 at abq on taxiway east; the only runway sign says runway 21 approach. Once you are past the approach hold short line; you are on the runway! Abq ground control instructed us to taxi to runway 21. No mention was made of the approach hold short line. This same confign occurs at pit runway 10C taxiing south on taxiway west. Our page says that we are not to hold short of an approach hold short line unless instructed to do so by ATC. I almost had a runway incursion at pit due to nighttime; unfamiliarity and the lack of a true runway hold short line. I had submitted a report last summer about this; also a note to the chief pilot after the pit incident; and now would like to suggest that both of these signs be reworded to just say runway 21 and runway 10C indicating that they are in fact the real hold short line.
