Narrative:
Departing cmi; received lavatory smoke indication on EICAS shortly after takeoff. Completed checklist; and EICAS message extinguished. Approximately 3 mins later; lavatory smoke EICAS message reappeared and cycled on and off continuously. Decision to return to cmi made; and diversion successfully completed without incident.

Narrative: DEPARTING CMI; RECEIVED LAVATORY SMOKE INDICATION ON EICAS SHORTLY AFTER TKOF. COMPLETED CHKLIST; AND EICAS MESSAGE EXTINGUISHED. APPROX 3 MINS LATER; LAVATORY SMOKE EICAS MESSAGE REAPPEARED AND CYCLED ON AND OFF CONTINUOUSLY. DECISION TO RETURN TO CMI MADE; AND DIVERSION SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED WITHOUT INCIDENT.
