Narrative:

All aircraft into atl approach on the whinz 1 STAR will not automatic flash; must be manually flashed. All aircraft into atl approach on flcon STAR (RNAV) rerouted direct diray or direct byrds will not automatic flash; must be manually flashed. Rerouting any aircraft to make it flat-tracked should not make the flight ineligible at all; it makes the route of flight more accurate to the true position; yet continues to cause these problems. Supplemental information from acn 694302: allowed en route computer to automatic flash to approach; it flashed to wrong sector 'A1D' took back handoff; manually entered 'A1P' to route to the proper sector in atl approach. Aircraft was on STAR and flat-tracked. This is a safety issue.
