Narrative:
FAA had expressed to manager (avionics engineers) that they had discovered chafing of a wire bundle adjacent to a disconnect bracket for the cockpit door system; and I surveyed the area of chafing and observed the same. We deplaned the aircraft and expressed to mr X; 'I'm going to have someone write it up.' I spoke with mr X and advised him of the chafed wire bundle in the same location as with a previous aircraft. I further added that the anti-chafe tape shows signs of chafing but could not determine if the wiring underneath it was also damaged. I requested if he could take a look at it and write it up. Said he would take care of it. Then commented it was only until the following morning that I was told the chafed wire bundle was fixed but no documentation was generated.
