Narrative:
Compass swing per maintenance manual was followed and signed off by mechanic. I signed off swing per maintenance manual. Found gpm had other wording and also FAA was not certifying runway direction. Follow gpm first; then maintenance manual. Compass swing is being rescheduled to be accomplished at an approved site.
