Narrative:

After takeoff from runway 9L and during leveloff at 5000 ft on runway heading; we sustained a bird strike on the right side of the nose adjacent to the first officer's feet. There were no abnormal engine indications; and we continued to destination without further incident. We sent mrm for bird strike and agreed with maintenance to do a visual inspection upon arrival. After landing; we inspected the nose area to find rivets missing and the sheet metal peeled back from the nose cone area. I advised maintenance that the airplane would not be airworthy until at least an interim repair could be made. Maintenance advised they would arrange for maintenance.
