Narrative:

I was captain and PF. We departed grb on runway 18. Clearance was to climb runway heading to 3000 ft. Through experience; I know that we will be issued a clearance to climb to 10000 ft as we near 3000 ft. Climbing through 2000 ft; I applied gentle forward pressure without trimming the nose down. Airspeed increased as well as the forward pressure. Right on cue; passing through approximately 2500 ft; we were cleared to climb to 10000 ft. I released forward pressure and gently allowed the aircraft to climb steeply. It is possible the aircraft exceeded 30 degrees slightly of pitch for a short period. There were no unnecessary g-forces; just a gentle climb. While in level cruise 12000 ft; we were discussing the control harmony of this aircraft. Beechcraft have very good harmony with use of aileron and rudder. I initiated a bank to the right of about +/-40 degrees and smoothly to the left +/-60 degrees. It was not abrupt or full control; rather smooth and gentle. There were not any altitude or heading deviations. It was also dark outside so I made approximately bank angles. I never intended to exceed 60 degrees of bank. However; it is more difficult to judge exact angles in the darkness of night. At no time did we put excessive forces on the aircraft. Controls were applied lightly and skillfully. I thought nothing of this occurrence until several days later I was taken off my next trip pairing pending investigation. Apparently; the first officer became nervous about getting in trouble (speculation) and told the company that 'we' made unnecessary banks and a pitch up. I believe he felt that the aircraft downloaded this information and the company checked it regularly. He was also very inexperienced (low time) and on probation. I feel that he embellished the story to the company and I was promptly terminated. He; however; was rewarded by the company for his telling on me and making it sound like I acted on my own; and he had no part of this. Through my career; I have seen capts do maneuvers that were far more excessive; including training personnel. I felt that I at no time intentionally exceeded any limitations or FARS. Also; though this was a scheduled airline flight; it was completely empty. No passenger; no bags; no comail; absolutely nothing. We did not put at risk anyone or any property. The culture at this air carrier is such that this is normal. Speaking to other 1900D operators (various airlines) I've heard of much worse. I at no time felt that we were just 'fooling around' or 'being unsafe.' I fly often as 6 days a week; have 2600+ hours in this aircraft alone and know it inside and out. I have taken this very seriously.

Title: B1900 CAPT'S SPIRITED AIRMANSHIP ON A SCHEDULED FLT WITH NO PAX ABOARD RESULTS IN TERMINATION OF EMPLOYMENT. RPTR BELIEVES TERMINATION WAS EXCESSIVE AND THAT THE MANEUVERS PERFORMED WERE NOT OUT OF LINE.

Narrative: I WAS CAPT AND PF. WE DEPARTED GRB ON RWY 18. CLRNC WAS TO CLB RWY HDG TO 3000 FT. THROUGH EXPERIENCE; I KNOW THAT WE WILL BE ISSUED A CLRNC TO CLB TO 10000 FT AS WE NEAR 3000 FT. CLBING THROUGH 2000 FT; I APPLIED GENTLE FORWARD PRESSURE WITHOUT TRIMMING THE NOSE DOWN. AIRSPD INCREASED AS WELL AS THE FORWARD PRESSURE. R ON CUE; PASSING THROUGH APPROX 2500 FT; WE WERE CLRED TO CLB TO 10000 FT. I RELEASED FORWARD PRESSURE AND GENTLY ALLOWED THE ACFT TO CLB STEEPLY. IT IS POSSIBLE THE ACFT EXCEEDED 30 DEGS SLIGHTLY OF PITCH FOR A SHORT PERIOD. THERE WERE NO UNNECESSARY G-FORCES; JUST A GENTLE CLB. WHILE IN LEVEL CRUISE 12000 FT; WE WERE DISCUSSING THE CTL HARMONY OF THIS ACFT. BEECHCRAFT HAVE VERY GOOD HARMONY WITH USE OF AILERON AND RUDDER. I INITIATED A BANK TO THE R OF ABOUT +/-40 DEGS AND SMOOTHLY TO THE L +/-60 DEGS. IT WAS NOT ABRUPT OR FULL CTL; RATHER SMOOTH AND GENTLE. THERE WERE NOT ANY ALT OR HDG DEVS. IT WAS ALSO DARK OUTSIDE SO I MADE APPROX BANK ANGLES. I NEVER INTENDED TO EXCEED 60 DEGS OF BANK. HOWEVER; IT IS MORE DIFFICULT TO JUDGE EXACT ANGLES IN THE DARKNESS OF NIGHT. AT NO TIME DID WE PUT EXCESSIVE FORCES ON THE ACFT. CTLS WERE APPLIED LIGHTLY AND SKILLFULLY. I THOUGHT NOTHING OF THIS OCCURRENCE UNTIL SEVERAL DAYS LATER I WAS TAKEN OFF MY NEXT TRIP PAIRING PENDING INVESTIGATION. APPARENTLY; THE FO BECAME NERVOUS ABOUT GETTING IN TROUBLE (SPECULATION) AND TOLD THE COMPANY THAT 'WE' MADE UNNECESSARY BANKS AND A PITCH UP. I BELIEVE HE FELT THAT THE ACFT DOWNLOADED THIS INFO AND THE COMPANY CHKED IT REGULARLY. ALSO; THOUGH THIS WAS A SCHEDULED AIRLINE FLT; IT WAS COMPLETELY EMPTY. NO PAX; NO BAGS; NO COMAIL; ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. WE DID NOT PUT AT RISK ANYONE OR ANY PROPERTY. THE CULTURE AT THIS ACR IS SUCH THAT THIS IS NORMAL. SPEAKING TO OTHER 1900D OPERATORS (VARIOUS AIRLINES) I'VE HEARD OF MUCH WORSE. I AT NO TIME FELT THAT WE WERE JUST 'FOOLING AROUND' OR 'BEING UNSAFE.' I FLY OFTEN AS 6 DAYS A WK; HAVE 2600+ HRS IN THIS ACFT ALONE AND KNOW IT INSIDE AND OUT. I HAVE TAKEN THIS VERY SERIOUSLY.
