Narrative:

Aircraft X #2 engine was replaced and the heat shield for the isolator aft mount was supposed to be checked for proper confign (part number) per service tip maintenance manual. There was miscom between the engine change technicians and it was communicated that the heat shield was replaced. The purpose of this report is to conduct an inspection of the heat shield in question to confirm compliance with the maintenance manual.

Title: A B767-300 #2 ENG WAS REPLACED BUT THE AFT ENG MOUNT ISOLATOR HEAT SHIELD INSTALLED WAS THE INCORRECT PART NUMBER.

Narrative: ACFT X #2 ENG WAS REPLACED AND THE HEAT SHIELD FOR THE ISOLATOR AFT MOUNT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE CHKED FOR PROPER CONFIGN (PART NUMBER) PER SVC TIP MAINT MANUAL. THERE WAS MISCOM BTWN THE ENG CHANGE TECHNICIANS AND IT WAS COMMUNICATED THAT THE HEAT SHIELD WAS REPLACED. THE PURPOSE OF THIS RPT IS TO CONDUCT AN INSPECTION OF THE HEAT SHIELD IN QUESTION TO CONFIRM COMPLIANCE WITH THE MAINT MANUAL.
