Narrative:

After we arrived at ZZZ; the first officer noticed the fuel panel door open on his postflt walkaround at a non maintenance airport. He asked the ground personnel if they had opened the door after landing and they did not. The fuel cap was missing from the fuel intake also. No damage was noted and the door could be closed and locked. Maintenance was called. It appears that the fueling cap and door were not properly secured prior to flight. The first officer had completed his walkaround prior to the fueler leaving. The ground push crew failed to notice the panel closed or latches open prior to the pushback. Attention to detail is lacking on our ramps. Luckily no aircraft damage occurred because of this incident.
