Narrative:

Normal taxi out; cleared for takeoff by local tower controller. Aligned aircraft with runway; changed control of aircraft to first officer; who pushed power up to flex detent for takeoff. As I reached for throttle levers; tower canceled takeoff clearance and advised us that the company wanted to talk to us. The engines had not yet fully spooled up for takeoff; the airspeed was well below 40 KIAS; the throttles were retarded to idle and we cleared the runway at T9 reverse high speed. After I set the parking brake; we saw we had an ACARS message from company indicating a discrepancy in our final weights. We had already received a set of final weights on taxi out. We contacted dispatch and load planning via ACARS; received another set of final weights and departed normally.
