Narrative:
Upon arrival in sea on about a 3 mi final for runway 16R; I noticed a very intense red light originating from the ground ahead. It appeared to be a laser type light tracking our aircraft. As we proceeded on the visual approach; the light continued to track us. I was the PF and proceeded to tell the captain that there is a laser on the right side of our aircraft. He then notified the tower about the laser. As we passed the light on about 1 mi final; I focused ahead and landed with no problems.
