Narrative:

Aircraft #1 cleared for a visual approach and switched to tower. Pilot acknowledges frequency change. Aircraft #2 does not see aircraft #1 so he is issued a visual approach clearance to airport. Aircraft #1 does not call the tower until 1 min and 40 seconds later. At 1 min and 15 seconds after frequency change was issued to aircraft #1; separation was lost. If aircraft #1 had contacted the tower in a reasonable time the tower could have provided visual separation.
