Narrative:

On takeoff with a hefty crosswind after captain was cleared for takeoff and rolling aircraft was straight on runway; power was applied and after a short time the confign horn sounded; captain assured aircraft was straight down centerline. From my relief pilot position; we were above 80 KTS and captain elected to continue takeoff rather than do a high speed abort. We did not have any directional control problems and warning appeared to be bogus. Non eventful departure and landing back at destination. Status message appeared after takeoff but disappeared in-flight.
