Narrative:

A large snow storm was forecast all morning with 30-35 centimeters of snowfall. Our intent was to deice; taxi for takeoff; and if the timing was correct; we might depart in between snow bands. The taxi and runway lights were also hard to see due to the snow buildup. After deice/anti-ice with type iv fluid; we taxied south on taxiway east; crossed runway 10/28; turned right (west) on the north ramp. We were instructed to and we held short of taxiway G. It was increasingly difficult to see objects on the ground. I did not want to taxi off of the pavement; so I was deliberately looking to ensure I could see taxi or runway lights or taxi stripes. Taxiing down what I thought was runway 10; it took longer than I thought it should to reach taxiway F. We were not where we were supposed to be. He had inadvertently taxied down runway 6L.

Title: CL600 FLT CREW TAXIES DOWN RWY WITHOUT CLRNC AT CYUL DURING HVY SNOWSTORM.

Narrative: A LARGE SNOW STORM WAS FORECAST ALL MORNING WITH 30-35 CENTIMETERS OF SNOWFALL. OUR INTENT WAS TO DEICE; TAXI FOR TKOF; AND IF THE TIMING WAS CORRECT; WE MIGHT DEPART IN BTWN SNOW BANDS. THE TAXI AND RWY LIGHTS WERE ALSO HARD TO SEE DUE TO THE SNOW BUILDUP. AFTER DEICE/ANTI-ICE WITH TYPE IV FLUID; WE TAXIED S ON TXWY E; CROSSED RWY 10/28; TURNED R (W) ON THE N RAMP. WE WERE INSTRUCTED TO AND WE HELD SHORT OF TXWY G. IT WAS INCREASINGLY DIFFICULT TO SEE OBJECTS ON THE GND. I DID NOT WANT TO TAXI OFF OF THE PAVEMENT; SO I WAS DELIBERATELY LOOKING TO ENSURE I COULD SEE TAXI OR RWY LIGHTS OR TAXI STRIPES. TAXIING DOWN WHAT I THOUGHT WAS RWY 10; IT TOOK LONGER THAN I THOUGHT IT SHOULD TO REACH TXWY F. WE WERE NOT WHERE WE WERE SUPPOSED TO BE. HE HAD INADVERTENTLY TAXIED DOWN RWY 6L.
