Narrative:

The new departures from msp (ie; schep 1) have different climb restrictions or different routing based on your assigned heading which you receive when cleared for takeoff!!! Furthermore; today we received a clearance to fly runway heading; then got a turn from tower after takeoff; so ... Which restrictions apply? This; combined with a level of detail on the charts which requires a lawyer to decipher; makes the departures extremely user-unfriendly to plan and brief adequately. The procedures need to be simplified!!!!
