Narrative:

I had bought off an elevator and elevator tab adjustment on aircraft on sep/sun/05. I failed to add a check in the rii box. However; I did inspect the elevator and elevator tab adjustment. All adjustments were accomplished per maintenance manual. I have a suggestion to help prevent this type of occurrence from happening in the future. I believe if the rii box in the computer system would be moved next to the final signoff; like our old paper form; this would be a big help. Also; having the computer default to a question (is this item rii? Yes or no). This step should be the end all to this type of problem.
