Narrative:
I flew into corona; ca; airport to fuel up my airplane (a C340). Upon completion; I taxied to runway 25. I gave full power. At about 3/4 of the runway the left engine lost manifold pressure. I feathered the engine; cut power; slammed on the brakes. By then I had run out of runway and went into the grass. There was no damage to aircraft; no damage to any property; and I was not injured.
