Narrative:

I was on a cross country flight from oun-adm-snl-oun. It was a solo cross country. I was on my way back to oun after landing at snl. I called oklahoma city approach telling them I had visual of oun and I terminated my radar contact. I then called oun tower and requested a touch-and-go on runway 17 saying that I was 8 mi west. Tower called back and told me to report 2 mi right base for runway 17. I called back when I was 2 mi left base for runway 17. I mistook runway 21 for runway 17; tower believed I was still heading west to go right base for runway 17. I then turned left for runway 21 and made a final approach. I then touched down; landed; and began to slow down. I released my flaps and crosswind hit me and I did a ground loop (left) on runway 21. The plane came to a stop in the grass field between taxiway east and taxiway D. I was uninjured.
