Narrative:

Pdk; ILS runway 20L; cleared for approach. PIC (left seat) descended using GS indications. Approach control called altitude low alert; immediately climbed. Xchk of PIC/sic GS indicators -- PIC indicator faulty. No ATC required telephone calls upon landing. Discrepancy written up for repairs. Prevention: pdk ILS is known to have an unreliable ILS. However; good situational awareness and diligent xchking of all available GS indicators would have prevented this occurrence.

NO ATC REQUIRED TELEPHONE CALLS UPON LNDG. DISCREPANCY WRITTEN UP FOR REPAIRS. PREVENTION: PDK ILS IS KNOWN TO HAVE AN UNRELIABLE ILS. HOWEVER; GOOD SITUATIONAL AWARENESS AND DILIGENT XCHKING OF ALL AVAILABLE GS INDICATORS WOULD HAVE PREVENTED THIS OCCURRENCE.
