An EMB140 reported a bleed leak from the left engine. Maintenance control sent unqualified and untrained technicians to repair and correct an engine bleed leak. Technicians were not engine run qualified!

Narrative:
Was sent on road trip to ZZZ1 for a bleed leak on the #1 engine. During inspection; we suspected leak was coming from the APU. So that was why when we ferried the aircraft to ZZZ2; we disabled the APU; we restr the use of the APU. I suggest more training; and to send people that are both run qualified.

Narrative: WAS SENT ON ROAD TRIP TO ZZZ1 FOR A BLEED LEAK ON THE #1 ENG. DURING INSPECTION; WE SUSPECTED LEAK WAS COMING FROM THE APU. SO THAT WAS WHY WHEN WE FERRIED THE ACFT TO ZZZ2; WE DISABLED THE APU; WE RESTR THE USE OF THE APU. I SUGGEST MORE TRAINING; AND TO SEND PEOPLE THAT ARE BOTH RUN QUALIFIED.
