Narrative:

The information display system (ids-4) provides easy access to information for controller usage while working a control position. Information such as instrument approach charts; frequencys; letters of agreement; standard operating procedures; emergency airport information; and military training rtes are contained in the ids. The ids is a critical piece of equipment to provide vital information to the air traffic operation and it is imperative that this information be accurate and current. The ids system at yng ATCT is not current or accurate. Instrument approach charts are out dated along with numerous other references. Hard copies of the information are somewhat available but require flipping through large binders. For the most part the information contained on the ids-4 is not easily accessible by other means. This condition has been known to FAA management at yng ATCT since january 2005.
