Narrative:

While troubleshooting a cockpit airflow logbook write-up; I removed an instrument panel and associated cannon plugs including #1 and #2 engine N1 tachometer indicator cannon plugs. I reinstalled all panels and cannon plugs. The airflow problem was still being worked as my shift ended. Other items were also being worked on the aircraft on my shift. We worked until approximately 15-20 mins before the end of the shift. A co-worker was completing logbook entries and filling out the turnover report. As there is only 1 logbook and 1 turnover report book; I had to wait while they were being filled out by the other mechanic. As I waited; I discussed what I did and what had to be done with the crew that was taking over. When the paperwork became available; proceeded to fill out a detailed turnover report; but failed to include an engine run being required to check out the gauges which had the cannon plugs removed and reinstalled. I did not allow sufficient time for a complete written turnover. I was carpooling and allowed myself to be rushed; and rely on verbal communications in a rushed atmosphere. I had crossed the cannon plugs of #1 and #2 tachometers which was not discovered prior to being released. An engine run was not accomplished prior to being released. The problem was discovered at pushback from the gate for a revenue flight.

Narrative: WHILE TROUBLESHOOTING A COCKPIT AIRFLOW LOGBOOK WRITE-UP; I REMOVED AN INST PANEL AND ASSOCIATED CANNON PLUGS INCLUDING #1 AND #2 ENG N1 TACHOMETER INDICATOR CANNON PLUGS. I REINSTALLED ALL PANELS AND CANNON PLUGS. THE AIRFLOW PROB WAS STILL BEING WORKED AS MY SHIFT ENDED. OTHER ITEMS WERE ALSO BEING WORKED ON THE ACFT ON MY SHIFT. AS THERE IS ONLY 1 LOGBOOK AND 1 TURNOVER RPT BOOK; I HAD TO WAIT WHILE THEY WERE BEING FILLED OUT BY THE OTHER MECH. AS I WAITED; I DISCUSSED WHAT I DID AND WHAT HAD TO BE DONE WITH THE CREW THAT WAS TAKING OVER. WHEN THE PAPERWORK BECAME AVAILABLE; PROCEEDED TO FILL OUT A DETAILED TURNOVER RPT; BUT FAILED TO INCLUDE AN ENG RUN BEING REQUIRED TO CHK OUT THE GAUGES WHICH HAD THE CANNON PLUGS REMOVED AND REINSTALLED. I DID NOT ALLOW SUFFICIENT TIME FOR A COMPLETE WRITTEN TURNOVER. I WAS CARPOOLING AND ALLOWED MYSELF TO BE RUSHED; AND RELY ON VERBAL COMS IN A RUSHED ATMOSPHERE. I HAD CROSSED THE CANNON PLUGS OF #1 AND #2 TACHOMETERS WHICH WAS NOT DISCOVERED PRIOR TO BEING RELEASED. AN ENG RUN WAS NOT ACCOMPLISHED PRIOR TO BEING RELEASED. THE PROB WAS DISCOVERED AT PUSHBACK FROM THE GATE FOR A REVENUE FLT.
