Narrative:

As we were cleared to taxi off gate and turned on my taxi light for a left turn out of the gate. As I added power and began moving; I noticed a truck off my left not slowing down approaching me. I had to jump on the brakes as the driver of the truck did not slow down. He sped in front of me. It appears that the contracted companies are not trained to allow aircraft the right of way. If I had not stopped; I am convinced I would have hit him.
