Narrative:

This report addresses the issue of reserve rest. I had just finished a 2 day trip on 8/wed/05 blocking in at 18:08 local time. (I am on rest schedule 6:00 pm to 3:00 am!) flight time was 7:16 for the day of wed. I was added on to get this amount of time for the day. After blocking in on wed; I drove home and arrived there approximately 8:00 pm. I had dinner; I ran errands and came home around 9:30 pm. Ended up going to bed at 11:00 pm. The crew desk called exactly at 2:49 am to reset my rest and assign a 1 day turn ZZZ1-ZZZ2-ZZZ1; and depart at 13:25 pm local. I would have had to get up around 10:00 am to leave the house at 10:30 am to arrive at 12:25 pm check in. This problem with crew rest is not getting any better. I am burned out from being pushed to the maximum! I call this a real 'safety issue!' I do not see any changes down the road anytime soon. I think the long call; short call reserve changes are not going to be any better. Air carrier does not have enough reserve crews to fly the schedules that are being set forth!
