Narrative:

I removed captain's digital audio panel and found that captain's digital audio panel was not 'mod a/B' marked. I replaced captain's digital audio panel. I proceeded to do the entry on the logbook. I removed first officer's digital audio panel and I discovered that first officer's digital audio panel was not 'mod a/B' marked. Previously; I got 2 digital audio panels from parts department. Once I opened the plastic bag and I inspected those 2 digital audio panels looking for 'mod a/B;' none was 'mod a/B' marked. Now on the step 2 of the engineering order X; it did not specify that any digital audio panel 'mod a/B' not marked must be replaced all at the same time. Callback conversation with reporter revealed the following information: reporter stated job card did not state to change both panels with modified panels at the same time. Only captain's panel replaced since only one was available.

Title: AN EMB145 ENGINEERING ORDER TO REPLACE CAPT'S AND FO'S AUDIO PANELS WITH MODIFIED DIGITAL AUDIO PANELS WAS NOT CLR IF ALL MUST BE REPLACED ON SAME ENGINEERING ORDER.

Narrative: I REMOVED CAPT'S DIGITAL AUDIO PANEL AND FOUND THAT CAPT'S DIGITAL AUDIO PANEL WAS NOT 'MOD A/B' MARKED. I REPLACED CAPT'S DIGITAL AUDIO PANEL. I PROCEEDED TO DO THE ENTRY ON THE LOGBOOK. I REMOVED FO'S DIGITAL AUDIO PANEL AND I DISCOVERED THAT FO'S DIGITAL AUDIO PANEL WAS NOT 'MOD A/B' MARKED. PREVIOUSLY; I GOT 2 DIGITAL AUDIO PANELS FROM PARTS DEPT. ONCE I OPENED THE PLASTIC BAG AND I INSPECTED THOSE 2 DIGITAL AUDIO PANELS LOOKING FOR 'MOD A/B;' NONE WAS 'MOD A/B' MARKED. NOW ON THE STEP 2 OF THE ENGINEERING ORDER X; IT DID NOT SPECIFY THAT ANY DIGITAL AUDIO PANEL 'MOD A/B' NOT MARKED MUST BE REPLACED ALL AT THE SAME TIME. CALLBACK CONVERSATION WITH RPTR REVEALED THE FOLLOWING INFO: RPTR STATED JOB CARD DID NOT STATE TO CHANGE BOTH PANELS WITH MODIFIED PANELS AT THE SAME TIME. ONLY CAPT'S PANEL REPLACED SINCE ONLY ONE WAS AVAILABLE.
